Rumor of the Day

There is a rumor out there that Shaquille O'Neal will be traded to the Mavericks.

Shaq to Dallas?

This would be cool. Shaq doesn't feel like busting it for an 82-game regular season. The Mavs don't need him for that. However, they can sure use Shaq, even if it's 36-year old Shaq in the twilight of his career, in the playoffs.

If nothing else, it would make for good radio, as Shaq would be united with his friend Corby from The Ticket.

The hypotheticals from the Snake to the Shaq would be never ending! Corby would be elevated to new heights since he's the only one Shaq will talk to most of the time.

Other than that, I say, "Bring it on!" The Mavs got the money ... why not try him?

They need to change the song to, "His best friend ain't Kobe, but his little buddy's Cooby ..."

The song was from back in the day, when the Lakers were winning championships, and Kobe didn't care who got the credit, as long as he got a ring.

It stands to reason why they no longer play the song, as Shaq and Kobe are obviously no longer friends.

I'd love to see Shaq finish his career with the little Mavericks.

Oh, if you listen to drop page radio after 9pm on the weeknights, you'll still hear it and it's still greatness. I love it! They may still play it when Cooby gets to "interview" (and I use that term very loosely) Shaq.

Corby proves his value to the little Ticket every time Shaq comes to town. He'll practically be Shaq's press agent if Shaq comes to the Mavericks.
